If your idea of fun is getting launched into space by a talking raccoon, you’re in the right place. But if you’d rather float past hydroponic lettuce in a slow boat, you’re also in the right place. Epcot in 2025 offers a little something for everyone—whether you’re looking for thrills, chill experiences, or just something tasty from a festival booth.
With construction walls finally down and recent updates complete, the park feels open, refreshed, and ready for whatever kind of day you want to have.
Here’s a look at what to expect in 2025: from attractions to food to what’s changed, plus a few of my must-dos.
What’s New at Epcot in 2025
The biggest update? The walls are gone. The center of the park feels open again, with CommuniCore Hall and Plaza finally in use. This space debuted with beautiful exhibits during the Festival of the Arts, and I’m excited to see how it’s used in upcoming festivals.
Test Track is currently closed for a major reimagining. It’s being updated with inspiration from World of Motion and promises a new blend of classic storytelling and updated technology.
There’s also a new over-21 lounge coming to Spaceship Earth called Geo 82, which will require reservations at launch.
Oh, and good news for solo travelers or people who don’t mind splitting up from their friends and family: Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure now has a single-rider line!
Best Thrill Rides at Epcot
If you’re here for the thrills, head straight to World Discovery.
- Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
A reverse-launch, spinning coaster that takes you on a musical space adventure. It’s one of Disney’s most unique rides—and a favorite of my husband’s. (I tried it once… and that was enough for me. Motion sickness crew, beware.) - Mission: SPACE
Choose your level:
- Orange Mission is intense, simulating a space launch to Mars.
- Green Mission is milder, with no spinning and a smoother ride.
Neither one is on my personal repeat list, but thrill-seekers may love it.
Coming soon: A new version of Test Track (currently closed) that promises to bring back some of the storytelling magic from the original World of Motion.
Best Relaxing Attractions at Epcot
If you’re on the “chill” side of the spectrum, World Nature is your happy place.
- Living with the Land
A slow boat ride through greenhouses where Disney grows real crops using sustainable techniques. It’s calm, fascinating, and smells like lettuce. Festival-themed displays often pop up here too. - Soarin’ Around the World
A simulated hang-glider ride that lifts you in front of a giant screen. If you’re sensitive to motion, closing your eyes works wonders—the ride vehicle doesn’t actually move much once in the air. - Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana
A peaceful walkthrough trail where you can interact with water features. It’s beautiful, educational, and yes—you can stay dry if you choose to. - The Seas with Nemo & Friends, Turtle Talk with Crush, and the Seabase aquariums all offer more chill time and indoor A/C.
World Showcase Attractions
World Showcase is more about vibes and food than rides—but there are still a few gems worth checking out:
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure – A charming trackless ride through Gusteau’s kitchen. I love it, even if I sometimes have to close my eyes during the spinny parts.
- Gran Fiesta Tour (Mexico) – A gentle boat ride with the Three Caballeros. Always a favorite, and rarely a long line.
- Frozen Ever After (Norway) – A boat ride through Arendelle. Fun if you love Frozen, but usually a long wait.
- Circle-Vision Films (China and Canada) – Great for a quick cultural moment and a place to sit in A/C.
Bonus: The DuckTales World Showcase Adventure scavenger hunt is a fun way to explore the pavilions—especially with kids or big DuckTales fans.

- Quick Service in Mexico – Tacos, nachos, empanadas and margaritas!
- Regal Eagle Smokehouse – Solid BBQ with Muppets flair
- Pizza Window (Italy Pavilion) – A Sicilian Delight
- The Land Pavilion Quick Service – Fresher and healthier options
- Space 220 – A unique space-themed dining experience
- Le Cellier – My favorite sit-down restaurant in Epcot
Epcot Tips for 2025
- Visit festivals on weekdays to avoid heavy local crowds.
- Don’t overdo “drinking around the world.” Know your limits—sloppy drunks are a quick way to kill the vibe and get banned from the parks.
- If you have a Park Hopper, end your night at Epcot. The World Showcase is calm, beautiful, and a great place to unwind.
Epcot is still a park with a little something for everyone, and honestly, even if you only go for the vibes, you will have a great time.
