The Snack That Started It All: Kirkland Trail Mix and the Birth of Snack Society

Mission Brief

Every big idea starts small—and sometimes, it starts with a snack. The Roaming Yeti Snack Society was born on a sunny trip to Los Angeles, in the most unexpected place: an Airbnb kitchen stocked with individually packed bags of Costco Trail Mix.

What began as a quick grab-and-go bite before exploring the city evolved into something bigger: a mission to discover the quirkiest, most travel-ready snacks across the U.S. Snacks that can withstand a road trip, fit in a carry-on, and bring a little joy to the journey.

This first review isn’t just about trail mix—it’s the origin story of the Snack Society itself.
