So, in January, one of our BinGO squares was to create a list of places to visit near and far this year, so John and I sat down to tackle that together.

The obvious one for us was finally heading to Paris after canceling our trip last year. So that will be our big trip for the year.

Most people would say no trip to Paris is complete without seeing the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. So those are both on the agenda, but you know we will have to take a few days at Disneyland Paris Resort. Disneyland Paris is the most beautiful of the parks I have seen. There is so much detail within the park.

In addition to Disneyland Paris, we will spend several days in Paris exploring the city of lights. So we decided to take a chance on an Airbnb to give us a little more room and a small kitchen to enjoy our pastries and cheese. As I said, Eiffel Tower and the Louvre are in our plans, but also hoping to check out some vintage shops and do a bit more wandering than we usually do.

More trips to the Rochester area are planned, and we hope to explore more to share some fun places and activities with you. The summer months there provide many opportunities to be outside biking and kayaking on the Erie Canal and in the lakes. The Strong Museum of Play is in Rochester, and while many think it is only for kids, there are many fun things to check out for adults, including the Toy Hall of Fame.

We have Disney Vacation Points stacking up, so we are trying to plan a few quick trips down to Walt Disney Word and hope to head over to Universal Orlando. John is planning to participate in a runDisney 5K again. I will root him on from bed because the run starts at 4:00 am, and I like my sleep too much.

Of course, there will be more weekends spent in Cincinnati. There is still so much to explore in that city. Who knows what else we may find? We haven’t shared Findlay Market or the Over The Rhine area with you yet, so that is on the agenda. Also, there is an amusement park near Cincinnati called Kings Island that we want to visit, so we are hoping we can sneak that into a trip.

The last planned road trip is to Philadelphia to the Franklin Institute to see the Disney 100: The Exhibition. The Walt Disney Company celebrates 100 years in 2023, and the exhibit will feature artifacts, costumes, props, and other artifacts from The Walt Disney Archives. In addition, there will be themed galleries telling stories from 100 years of Disney and its famous characters.

There is an upcoming podcast on Atlanta,, and I am now trying to figure out how we can sneak in a weekend visit this year. Fingers crossed. There seems to be so much to do, and I want to check out the Stranger Things and Marvel filming locations.

I want to take a few day trips in the area as we rediscover ours and surrounding towns, but not sure where yet, so stay tuned. That should keep us pretty busy this year, and I look forward to sharing with you what we discover.
